Zarina's Beginning

I finally made up a story for our Lady Butterfly.

"Mom! Dad!" young Zarina ran to her parents, who were stung multiple times by those wasps. She shook her parents. "Dad, wake up! Dad!" she pleaded, and then called out for her mom. It was too late for her mom. She was gone. Her dad was still breathing. He opened his eyes. "Zarina..." he said, his voice trembling.
"I'm here, Dad." Zarina said desperately holding her Dad's hand. Zarina and her parents were walking home through the meadows of the kingdom when the wasp army attacked them. Her mother made her hide, but her parents were stung. Now the wasps were gone.

"Zarina...take this." her dad said, handing her an envelope. "Give this to the Queen...our Bumblebee Regent. She'll know what to do. There is also something to give you entrance to--" he coughed and his eyes closed as his breathing stopped. Zarina's eyes started to tear. "...Dad?" she pleaded. "Dad!" What was she supposed to do? She can't leave her parents here. Maybe she can go to the palace and come back for them.

Zarina went to the palace, but she was stopped by the guards. "Sorry, young lady. Only entrance for the Queen and her staff." they said. Zarina didn't know what to do. Maybe she could lie this once? "I-I'm a servant here." she said. The guards looked at eachother. "We'll need to see proof." one of them said.

Zarina thought about it and opened the envelope. She saw 2 letters, one was her father's handwriting, the other one was written by a professional. She handed the professional one, and crossed her fingers mentally. They handed it back and let her pass. 

She slipped on an apron to blend in, and searched for the Queen Raina. After a while, she found the Queen. She was in this massive room--Zarina guessed it was a ballroom. She cleared her throat. "Uh...Y-Your Majesty?" she said softly. The Queen turned around. "What is it?" the Queen questioned confused. "You aren't one of my servants, are you?"
"No, but I really--"
"I thought so. You're too young. Tell me, why does a young girl like you sneak into my home?"
"I-Well...My parents died in a wasp attack and...my dad told me to give this to you..." Zarina said nervously and handed the envelope. The Queen read the letter Zarina's father had written. Her expression changed to a more softer look. "Y-You're Anael's daughter?" she asked. Zarina blinked and nodded. "Did you...know my father?" Zarina asked, at which the Queen nodded. "Is...Anael...dead?" Queen Raina asked. Zarina nodded. The Queen seemed hurt, but she smiled. "You're welcome to stay here."
"Really? Thank you so much!" Zarina said, hugging the Queen, and quickly retreated. "I'm sorry!"
"It's fine."

Zarina's parents had a funeral and many people came. Queen Raina and Zarina became close, but Zarina never told her name. One day, many magical butterflies surrounded her, and was from that moment on called Butter(fly). Those butterflies had given her magic, and Raina taught Zarina what she had to know.
